Hatton & Harris, London, spring detent pocket chronometer, 11 jewels, key wind and set, gilt full plate movement with Earnshaw's escapement, free sprung, cut bimetallic balance with wedge shaped compensation weights, helical balance spring and diamond endstone in a sterling silver, engine turned open face case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1851, Roman numeral, white enamel dial, gold Breguet style hands, serial #523, 55mm, with shock mounted mahogany deck box.

CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Crystal with minor scratches; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: Replaced minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor marks and scratches on plate; Haze; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks); Balance rim slightly bent. Box with loose bottom, scratches and dings, good overall.
